Sagecliffe Resort and Spa – the Perfect Weekend Getaway from Seattle

In need of a break, or just a few days of relaxation? Then do I have the spot for you! Escape to Sagecliffe Resort and Spa, a luxury resort set in a picturesque vineyard, just over 2 hours east of Seattle. We recently stayed here for 3 nights and loved our experience at the resort. With the delicious food, fun cocktails, relaxing activities, picturesque vineyard walks, and vibrant sunset views, our time at Safecliffe Resort and Spa was so peaceful. I would highly recommend it to anyone that is looking for a quick getaway.

Where is Sagecliffe Resort and Spa Located?

Sagecliffe Resort and Spa is located in Washington State, along the Columbia River, just outside of Quincy, Washington (click here for directions). From Seattle, Sagecliffe Resort and Spa can be reached by heading east on I-90 over Snoqualmie Pass and across the Columbia River. It is right next to the famous Gorge Amphitheater.

Room Options

There are several room options to choose from at Sagecliffe Resort and Spa so you are sure to find the right accommodation type for your stay. During our time there, we spent 1 night in a Cliffehouse Suite and 2 nights in a Cavern Room. The Cliffehouse Suite was definitely our favorite and was such a beautiful space to call home, even just for a night.

Other lodging options include The Sagecliffe Ridge Condos and The Desert Yurts.

*Note that the Desert Yurts and the Cavern Rooms are the two pet-friendly options at the resort.

Food and Beverages

The food and drinks at Sagecliffe Resort and Spa ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. We loved every meal and being able to enjoy each meal on the patio overlooking the vineyard really added to the experience. The restaurant, in the main building of the property, serves up American fare and features a different menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Breakfast

A selection of what we had for breakfast. 10/10 would recommend the scramble, and add a side of bacon for some extra yum.

Lunch

We were most impressed by these steak tacos and the veggie burger. Even if you don’t think you’ll like a veggie burger, I’d give this one a try; it was delicious!

Dinner

Dinner was definitely our favorite meal at the resort, and we looked forward to it each day. Dining out on the patio was perfect as the sun set right as we were enjoying our meal. Stunning views and delicious food, that is a tough combination to beat!

Other Food Options

There aren’t any towns near the resort so your other food options are limited. But the resort does have a pizza wagon that is located on-site, by the horseshoe and bocce ball area. The wood-fired pizza from here was seriously so good. We just had it for one lunch but would definitely go back.

*One thing to note about the food is that the menu is rather limited when it comes to vegan/vegetarian options so I would keep that in mind when planning for meals here.

Cocktails

We loved the variety of cocktails that Sagecliffe Resort and Spa had to offer. We tried something new each day and were never disappointed. Here are some of the drinks that we tried at the resort. They were as tasty as they were beautiful!

Activities

While relaxation is the main goal of a stay at Sagecliffe Resort and Spa, there are several different activities to choose from at the resort. There is an area with bocce ball, horseshoes, and billiards. There are also bicycles you can check out from the front desk and take for a ride around the vineyard. The resort also has a spa.

In the area around the resort, you can go wine tasting or take a scenic hike. There are trails heading towards the Columbia River that leave right from the resort.

Another thing to do when staying at the resort is to attend a concert at the nearby Gorge Amphitheater. There is a private entrance from the resort so this is the perfect spot to stay if there is a concert at the Gorge Amphitheater that you really want to attend.

The Pool

Perhaps the best activity at Sagecliffe Resort and Spa is the pool though. With sweeping views of the Columbia River, this pool is the perfect spot to relax and soak up some sunshine.

Ready to Book?

Whether you are looking for a romantic weekend away, a concert weekend, an incredible wedding venue, or just a relaxing few days, Sagecliffe Resort and Spa is waiting for you.

Final Thoughts

Overall, this experience was the perfect way to find some zen. We would definitely recommend a visit if you are in the area. It is a great spot to reconnect with yourself, your partner, or your loved ones.
